According to Dara O’Rourke, co-founder of Goodguide.com, which rates cleaning products for health and environmental responsibility, “Ingredients from sprays bounce off a counter or furniture and vaporize into the air. If you spray directly onto a cloth, you’ll reduce your exposure to the chemical by eighty to ninety percent.”
Most household cleaners can be harmful to granite, marble, or other surfaces because they are acidic. Repeated applications of acidic cleaners will eventually damage and destroy the look of your surface and the sealant. Rock Doctor products are non-acidic and non-abrasive. They have been formulated with your surface in mind. Regular soap and water or the “blue” cleaner can eventually harm your surface and certainly damage the look and luster.
We suggest using a cloth towel to apply both the cleaner and polish.
Of course, that depends on your situation, but we do recommend using our cleaner on a daily basis if needed. The polish should be applied once every week or two depending on your activity level with the surface. Our Rock Doctor Granite & Stone Sealer should be applied every 12 to 18 months.
First, we recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly. Make sure dirt and anything else on the surface is removed by using Rock Doctor Granite & Quartz Cleaner. Then, as directed, apply Rock Doctor Granite & Stone Sealer to the surface. The process of sealing your stone is typically only performed once every 12 to 18 months. Lastly, you may apply Rock Doctor Granite & Quartz Polish at any point after the sealing process once the seal is dried. Most consumers use Rock Doctor Granite & Quartz Polish as a way to shine and protect the surface once or twice a week.
Any stone, marble, and solid surface counter can be maintained by Rock Doctor Granite & Quartz Cleaner and Polish.
The cleaner can be used, but we do not recommend the polish to be used because it can create a slippery shine that can cause accidents.
Rock Doctor Granite & Quartz Polish leaves a water-resistant protective coating that helps safeguard your surface against glass rings, spills, and etching. Special emollients and carnauba wax fill in tiny cracks and imperfections, restoring your surface to its original luster and smoothness.
